The need for nanobiotechnological applications in plant and agriculture sciences has been growing rapidly in recent decades due to the exponential growth of the world’s population and subsequent increase in demand for food supplies. Plant biotechnology has evolved as a highly promising approach in various agricultural sectors in the form of using nanoparticles as fertilizers, sensors, genetic modifiers, and so on. Though the researchers and environmental policy makers around the globe tend to cope with the process of fulfilling the demands, they equally work and constantly update the regulatory frameworks on the ethical and environmental impacts of using nanoparticles to ensure safe and right handling. But those are still in their infancy. Here we contextualized the existing ethical concerns, environmental considerations, and various regulations of using and handling nanotechnology in plant systems.

摘要
