Nerve Supply of the Mouth and Face
摘要
The nerve supply to the face can be broadly classified by its motor and sensory capabilities. Sensory nerves of the face come from three divisions of the trigeminal nerve (V1, V2, V3) as seen in Fig. 20.1. These divisions are called the ophthalmic, maxillary and mandibular, respectively. There are a few sensory branches from the cervical plexus. The facial nerve supplies the muscles that allow us to make facial movements and expressions.
