Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects approximately 5% of children and adolescents in Mexico and about 129 million children and adolescents worldwide. This condition impacts academic performance, personal development difficulties, and socialization challenges. Therefore, timely treatment of ADHD is crucial. However, current treatments are expensive, there are problems with the availability of medical services, and medications can cause side effects. Thus, we present the design of the architecture of a videogame based on memory techniques to improve concentration levels in children with ADHD. As proof of concept, we present the design of the videogame Happy Shop. Also, improved concentration levels were measured in 10 children with ADHD using Happy Shop’s vigilance and processing speed metrics. After using Happy Shop, the children increased their concentration levels in the third session. Our videogame could be a support tool in treating ADHD, as a playful alternative to improve concentration in children.
