The Intension to Adopt Electronic Financial Reporting (XBRL) in Jordanian SMEs and Financial Data Accuracy: Does Covid-19 Pandemic Matter?
摘要
Covid-19 may moderate XBRL usage and financial data accuracy (FDA) among Jordanian SMEs. Whether cutting-edge XBRL technologies increase as organisations use systems to secure financial data is vital. The structural model is shown using an online questionnaire. The “Multi Group Analysis (MGA)” with “AMOS.26” evaluates moderating effects. The modified t-test determines regression coefficient significance. From 300 surveys, the moderating effect suggests that Covid-19 strongly impacts XBRL adoption and financial data accuracy. The report concludes that XBRL adoption is necessary for corporate success and efficiency (data input errors; timeliness; transparency and accessibility; decision-making). XBRL and data quality have been studied, but none have evaluated how Covid-19 has affected this relationship. Many tasks remain, notably for Jordan and the “Middle Eastern (ME)” economy. The modified model used in this study contained Covid-19 and FDA criteria to fill this information gap. This study contributes to the body of knowledge and may help low-XBRL environments. This model can help organisations evaluate how XBRL influences FDA during the technical adoption phase in extremely turbulent economic conditions and what aspects enable its widespread adoption. This study theoretically investigates XBRL's FDA-boosting potential in Jordanian SMEs. Other ME countries can use the findings. The inclusion of the Covid-19 factor has substantial ramifications for theories on technology acceptance under highly unexpected economic conditions and its broad application. As technology advances, practitioners and scholars must understand how XBRL impacts organisational values and impacts. A comprehensive XBRL deployment approach and organisational impact evaluation are presented in this research to address this empirical challenge.
