Beyond the Algorithm: Exploring User Intentions and Anthropomorphic Perceptions of AI Recruitment Tools
摘要
The paper examines the factors affecting HR professionals’ intentions of adopting AI-powered recruitment tools in their organization. We build on existing technology adoption theories to develop a theoretical model to explain these intentions. Results of this empirical analysis also confirm that the “Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, and Anthropomorphism”—all contribute to positive effects on HR professionals’ intentions to utilise AI recruitment tools. Moreover, they affect adoption intentions indirectly by enhancing HR professionals’ attitudes towards AI through their related perception of Affordances. In this context, it turned out that “Effort Expectancy” was not a decisive factor for adoption intention. This is what contributed to a better understanding of the adoption of AI in the Talent Management domain and offered insights that HR leaders and organizations can leverage to use AI effectively in their recruitment and hiring processes.
