This chapter introduces our approach to the Boolean algebra of solid models, grounded in the algebraic topology of piecewise-linear geometry. It presents computational topology algorithms for determining the two- and three-dimensional space partitions (arrangements) generated by collections of one- and two-dimensional geometric objects, respectively.
