A method for evaluation of CO2 storage potential which takes adsorption into account is described. This method uses the apparent adsorption data and bypasses the unknown density of adsorbed CO2 layer. Applying the method shows that adsorption can largely increase CO2 storage capacity while reducing the overpressure. A concept of effective density is proposed which highlights the impact of CO2 adsorption.

摘要

A method for evaluation of CO2 storage potential which takes adsorption into account is described. This method uses the apparent adsorption data and bypasses the unknown density of adsorbed CO2 layer. Applying the method shows that adsorption can largely increase CO2 storage capacity while reducing the overpressure. A concept of effective density is proposed which highlights the impact of CO2 adsorption.
