Introduction
摘要
CO2 storage requires forcing CO2 into water-filled rock pores in subsurface while avoiding excessive pressure buildup. Injected CO2 moves upward due to its buoyancy and bypasses high-resistance flow channels. Even under high pressure, CO2 could only enter a small fraction of the pore space. Overpressure due to injected CO2 may damage the reservoir seal and jeopardize the security and safety of CO2 storage.
