In vitro fertilization (IVF) involves fertilizing eggs with sperm in a laboratory dish outside the body to create embryos, which are then implanted into the uterus. A crucial step in IVF is ovarian stimulation, which requires patients to strictly adhere to medication schedules, as missed doses can significantly affect the procedure’s success. Our study aimed to develop MyIVF, a mobile reminder app for IVF patients. By delivering real-time push alerts, it helps to ensure timely medication administration, reducing missed doses and improving cycle outcomes. The development of the MyIVF application followed a structured process comprising three main phases. Initially, key features and functionalities of MyIVF were identified through a thorough review of similar apps. In the second phase, suitable tools and databases were selected for the app’s design and development. The final phase involved evaluating the app using the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS). The MyIVF mobile application was developed using Vue.js, a dynamic programming framework, and Firebase for its database system. MyIVF was successfully released on both Google Play and the App Store, making it compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The app received an average quality score of 3.5 out of 5.0 on the MARS. In this study, we designed and developed MyIVF, a mobile app aimed at assisting patients undergoing IVF treatment. MyIVF offered messaging, reminders, scheduling, information retrieval, injection guidance, and history tracking, which had a potential impact on managing their treatment more effectively.
