Supply chain processes in the construction industry are prone to risks causing severe delays and cost overruns and can also cause complete failure of the project. Process control measures aid in controlling various aspects of the process so that the project is able to complete successfully without any delays. Hence, this study aims at understanding the impact of process control on supply chain risks. As the process management of many projects have been completely digitized, it is possible to have issues of information security in construction projects. As it is another type of risk, it may have an effect on the supply chain risks. Hence, information security acts as a mediating factor in the relationship between process control and supply chain risk. This study utilized questionnaire survey to test the hypotheses. The sample consisted of 38 participants that were sourced through LinkedIn. The inclusion criteria was based on their working in the construction industry. Correlation and regression analysis was applied to the collected data. The results of the data indicate that process control indeed does have a relationship with supply chain risk and the relationship is positively significant. The impact of process control is not huge on supply chain risk but it still exists. This was predicted as if process control is done right, there will be less supply chain risks. The results also show that information security and supply chain risk have a positive and significant relationship. The mediating effect of information security strengthens the relationship between process control and supply chain risk existence.

摘要
