The Nonhuman Stakeholders
摘要
This chapter is a return to “nature” in the guise of considering the nonhuman stakeholders of general digitization. The digitization of everything that transforms objects, beings, and phenomena in data generating nodes signals our belief that nature is just chaos, and we can do better for nature than nature does for herself. Based on the concept that agency is not exclusively human, and on the author’s experience in implementing a biodiversity friendly approach for solar power plants, this chapter introduces the importance of nonhuman stakeholders in creating and applying models of action for climate change and beyond, particularly when using data-based systems of extraction and decision-making as a basis for this action.
