Understanding Terrorism in East Africa
摘要
The threat of terrorism is an ever-present reality in the East and the Horn of Africa region. Countries in the region, from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda are, to varying degrees, both sources and victims of terrorism. With very slight deviations, the most prevalent threat of terrorism in the greater East Africa region is that posed by Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Shabaab and the Daesh (ISIS) and their respective regional affiliates, including the Allied Democratic Front (ADF).
