Côte d’Ivoire is a coastal state in West Africa with maritime boundaries in the Gulf of Guinea. It shares contiguous borders with Ghana to the East while Liberia and Guinea are the contiguous border in the West. In the north, Cote d’Ivoire shares borders with Mali and Burkina Faso. In terms of population, Cote d’Ivoire is characterised by 22.671.331 million people of ethnically diverse identities.
