The involvement of women as traffickers is also addressed, highlighting what situation reveals about their roles in human trafficking operation. Finally, it discusses the phenomenon of victims who later become perpetrators, providing insights into this complex aspect of human trafficking. The complex motivations and factors enabling the traffickers engage in human trafficking are also discussed in this chapter. Understanding the different characteristics of the traffickers and various reasons why people commit trafficking is vital for developing effective future programmes to prevent human trafficking.
