This research aims to explore and understand the role of IoT technology for integrating green customers’ data to green products and green product labels in the retail trade sector. With 254 collected questionnaires filled by respondents belong to managerial and operational professions in supermarkets located in Dubai, UAE. The current research aims to employ a quantitative approach to illustrate how IoT helps to strengthen the relationship between green customer profiles and sustainable product attributes. The findings show that IoT enhances the collection and use of green customer data positively affecting green labels’ effectiveness as well as green products’ development. The findings also explain that IoT enables the gathering and analyzing of more precise and useful green customer information, which aids in the introduction of green products and the validity of green labels. All these insights can be seen as useful recommendations for those retailers who are interested in the question of how to correspond the sustainability strategies they employ to the preferences of customers and enhance their impact on the matter positively.
