An Extensive Review of Creativity Programs in Higher Education
摘要
Recent years have shown an increase in the number of creativity programs and initiatives in higher education. This growth is a result of continued maturation of the field of creativity studies, and a growing recognition that creativity is a fundamental workplace skill. Creativity programs and initiatives grew from 29 identified in 2010 to more than 70 identified in this work. This chapter reviews the concentrated efforts to enhance student creativity and problem-solving skills in college and university programs which include creativity certificates and degree programs for undergraduate graduate, and doctoral students; programs focused on deliberate creativity in particular domains; and institution-wide initiatives such as innovation centers, creativity across the curriculum, and multi-pronged creative culture-building.
