Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) have systematically infiltrated the contemporary business practices, thus providing intricate ways to improve decision-making procedures. In the modern world, the operational context of businesses is characterized by the high rates of change where managers are forced to make timely and accurate decisions that would ensure organizational agility. Advanced modern environments present problems to both the quantity and the speed for traditional decision-making methods. As a result, this research seeks to explore the effects of AI and ML on OD and emphasizes on the role of AI and its subfield of ML in improving firm-specific adaptability and positioning. The survey involves 200 participants from different industries, where the information reveals how the usage of AI and ML creates higher and faster results in decision-making processes and mainly data accuracy. The results show that the use of AI/ML does not only rationalize decision-making but also provides organization capabilities to respond to market dynamics to enhance their organizational adaptability and performance advantage. The study answers important question such as potential role of AI/ML in the decision-making process of the organizations, the means through which these technologies contribute to the improved organizational flexibility and opportunities to gain competitive advantage as well as providing important guidelines for organizations that seek to implement AI/ML for strategic purposes.
