This study mainly illustrated the philosophy and design of mind mapping techniques in social studies pedagogy and also revealed their effectiveness from a technological perspective. The study adopted a qualitative approach based on a literature review to examine the cognitive processes associated with mind mapping and its impact on learning. As a result, the study showed a strong correlation between mind mapping and cognitive rehearsal, indicating its power as a mental-visual tool to help students with abstract thinking and logical reasoning. This study suggests that teachers could use technology (e.g., digital slides and interactive platforms) to present key concepts and visual aids to instruct students in how to fully utilize mind maps in their learning. The purpose of this study was to provide theoretical explanations and practical constructions of mind mapping techniques, focusing on their applications in social studies education for better pedagogical purposes.

摘要
