This research underscores the legal principles designed to regulate the minimum wage, highlighting its theoretical importance in illuminating this legal assurance that the law provides to protect the wages of workers. A deeper comprehension of these principles enables a more thorough assessment of their effectiveness in safeguarding workers’ earnings. From a practical standpoint, establishing a minimum wage that offers strong and comprehensive protection for workers’ wages contributes to diminishing class disparities and narrowing social and economic divides within society. This was accomplished by employing both descriptive and comparative methodologies, with the analytical approach integrated into the descriptive method to scrutinize relevant legislative texts and court decisions. The comparative method facilitated drawing comparisons between the legal frameworks of Jordan and the UAE. The study is organized into three sections: the first focuses on the definition of the minimum wage, the second outlines the legislative framework governing the minimum wage, and the third investigates the penal measures in place to protect the minimum wage.
