This chapter investigates the securitisation of emotions, analysing the political objectives underpinning this process and proposing a framework for examining the textual strategies it employs. Anchored in an interdisciplinary theoretical foundation that integrates cultural-psychological approaches, international relations theory, and political semiotics, the authors conceptualise affective semiosis as a textual mechanism for constructing hegemonic discourse. Through an analysis of Vladimir Putin’s article, ‘The Real Lessons of the 75th Anniversary of World War II’, the chapter illustrates how affective textual strategies are deployed to reinforce the Kremlin’s narrative. The findings are contextualised within the Copenhagen School’s concept of securitisation, demonstrating how the securitisation of memories and emotions serves as an affective textual strategy to evoke fear, anxiety, and foster an emotionally cohesive political community.

摘要
