This article provides a systematic review of the literature on work-life balance for employees in firms. Currently a phenomenon, a key aspect and factor influencing employee satisfaction, commitment and performance in enterprises. Based on a systematic review of the literature, we identified three main research areas (1) working conditions that support work-life balance, (2) flexible working arrangements, and (3) methods and tools for improving work-life balance. The first area of research focuses on the work environment, which is a determinant that enables employees to improve the fulfilment of a sense of work-life balance. The second area of research is the approaches taken by companies to achieve flexible working conditions for employees, in particular flexibility in the time and place of work activities, which inherently allow employees to better organise their available time. The third area of research focuses on company policies through which employees can be supported in achieving this balance. This systematic review of the literature on the topic provides a framework for future research in the area and identifies gaps that require further attention, such as tools and methods for promoting job satisfaction and productivity.

摘要
