However, the implementation of this strategy often requires the acquisition of land for setting up energy projects. In this context, the country is also committed to achieving the Sustainable DevelopmentSustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 11, which aims to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. To meet this growing demand for land, various stakeholders in the energy sector resort to land acquisition, once the land identification process has been approved, through the Directorate of State Domains. To handle the increasing demand for land, various actors in the energy sector turn to land experts, working through the Directorate of State Domains once the land identification process is complete. These experts are crucial for any transaction involving state-owned land, such as sales, rentals, purchases, assignments, or concessions, as they determine the market or rental value of the properties. However, the current method used by the administrative commission, which involves gathering a wide range of data on the property and comparing it to similar properties that have recently sold in the same area, has shown some shortcomings in accurately determining market value. In this context, the intelligent modernization of this process is imperative. Artificial IntelligenceArtificial Intelligence (AI) offers a valuable opportunity to improve land acquisition process. This chapter aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of studies on the integration of AI in land acquisition. It emphasizes the importance for provincial administrative commissions to adopt AI’s intelligent acquistions methods to manage the vast amounts of data generated. Overall, AI offers enormous potential to transform traditional real estate into smart real estate in MoroccoMorocco and to significantly shape future practices of land acquisition process.
