As the demand for low-cost and efficient air travel has significantly increased in recent years, this has placed additional pressures on pilots to help obtain these goals. Pilot fatigue is a growing problem in the industry and requires all stakeholders’ attention to ensure the safety of airline operations. This study assesses the impact of short turnaround time on pilot fatigue, particularly the practice of 25-minute turnarounds. It also identifies and examines other influential factors of pilot fatigue and the degree to which they affect pilots. The authors conclude the study with recommendations for operators to help reduce pilot fatigue. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the research regarding the impact of short turnarounds on pilot fatigue and flight safety correspondingly.

摘要
