In this book I have presented the results of a Critical Discourse Analysis of the representations of migrants and the EU in the Romanian and the British press, between 1st January 2006 and 31st December 2018. A Conceptual Metaphor analysis of the Romanian and the British corpora was conducted, which showed that migrants’ portrayal in both datasets have been constructed through OBJECT, NATURAL DISASTER and INVASION conceptual metaphors (Chapter 3 ).

摘要
