A Hybrid Image Restoration Approach: Integrating Coherence Transport and Anisotropic Diffusion

Image inpainting is a crucial technique in image processing, focused on recovering degraded images by reducing noise and reconstructing missing regions. In this paper, we propose a hybrid approach that integrates coherence transport and anisotropic diffusion to enhance the quality of restoration. Our method utilizes a coupled equation, where coherence transport facilitates smooth transitions across the image, while anisotropic diffusion helps preserve important image structures. This combination effectively balances edge preservation and uniform diffusion, yielding high-quality restored images with improved visual fidelity.
