Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Meniscal Injuries in Pediatric Patients

Anterior cruciate ligament injuries, along with meniscal injuries, are recognized as the most common injuries in pediatric athletes. These injuries have increased significantly in the last 25 years, and can have serious consequences on joint function. In this chapter we will analyze the anatomy of the knee of the patient with an immature skeleton, the clinical and imaging evaluation and current treatments of these pathologies, with their potential complications.
