Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs) are very similar from a technical point of view, but treated differently with respect to safety regulations. Mandatory risk assessments of AMRs are not specified by any organisation. Therefore, evaluating AMRs according to the Euro NCAP tests for AVs is beneficial. This will lead to an additional burden of testing on automotive proving grounds (PG), which increases the need for on-site automation. A concept for a mission control for automating tests is proposed. The mission control coordinates the assignments of tests and necessary equipment to different areas and local control centers on a PG. First tests of the mission control performed at a PG in Austria were successfully completed.

摘要
