The processes of wastewater and sludge treatment and waste detoxification in biotechnology can be divided into aerobic and anaerobic. Each subtype of biotechnology has its peculiarities in achieving environmental safety indicators. In this chapter, the biochemical basis of fermentation processes in oxygen and oxygen-free modes, as well as the necessary technological solutions and technical features, are discussed.

The processes of wastewater and sludge treatment and waste detoxification in biotechnology can be divided into aerobic and anaerobic. Each subtype of biotechnology has its peculiarities in achieving environmental safety indicators.
