Blockchain and AI for Enhanced Threat Detection in Digital Marketing: Maneuvering the Legal Minefield
摘要
This study investigates the integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance threat detection in digital marketing, specifically within the Indian regulatory framework. It seeks to address the research gap by exploring how these technologies can collectively address India’s unique regulatory, legal, and ethical challenges, focusing on data security, compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (enacted but not enforced), and overcoming scalability and ethical concerns. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study conducts a thorough literature review, analyzing empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and practical case studies from key academic sources, including ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink, and Emerald Insight. Thematic synthesis and coding are utilized to identify critical themes and patterns related to the integration of blockchain and AI for enhanced threat detection and regulatory compliance. The research reveals that while blockchain’s immutable ledger and AI’s analytical capabilities offer significant benefits for threat detection and regulatory adherence, their integration poses challenges, particularly with India’s evolving legal landscape. Key issues include navigating legal complexities and addressing ethical concerns such as data privacy and algorithmic bias. The study provides actionable recommendations for digital marketers, technology providers, and policymakers in India. It outlines strategies for effectively integrating blockchain and AI to improve threat detection and ensure regulatory compliance, addressing legal and ethical issues to enhance digital marketing practices. By focusing on the intersection of blockchain and AI within the Indian context, this study offers novel insights into overcoming specific regulatory and legal challenges. It contributes valuable knowledge to the fields of digital marketing and technology integration, paving the way for future research and practical applications.
