Simulation Modeling Algorithm of Low-Bandwidth Radio Network of Automated Control Systems
摘要
Governmental automated control systems of the low echelon management level with the constant movements of users are usually built and operate on the basis of Ultra and Very High Frequency low-bandwidth radio networks. Communication networks of such automated control systems are characterized by low bandwidth, long data transmission delays and jitter. Simulation modeling allows to solve the problem of choosing the necessary technical characteristics of telecommunication equipment to ensure the availability of services even at the design stage. The paper analyzes the generalized model of service quality indicators of radio communication networks of automated control systems based on the low-bandwidth radio networks. The paper determines the average indicators of bandwidth, jitter, channel losses, response time to messages and the distribution laws of intervals between service requests, the average size of a data packet and the required bandwidth for different types of traffic in an automated control system based on a low-bandwidth radio network. For simulation modeling, the paper proposes a radio network maintenance model, which determines the probability of communication network maintenance. Software libraries are proposed for the implementation of a generator of pseudo-random numbers with support for the distribution laws of intervals between service requests for traffic maintenance of governmental automated control systems. Based on the radio network service model and obtained traffic characteristics, an algorithm for the implementation of simulation modeling for the communication network of automated control systems for determining the load on the communication system and determining the probability of service is proposed.
