Defluoridation of Fluoride Contaminated Water by Electrocoagulation
摘要
Currently, a growing population and dwindling water supplies have increased human demand for clean water, but the quality of both surface and groundwater has declined due to the discharge of hazardous chemicals and industrial waste. Diseases caused by contaminated water pose a huge burden and threat to human health and also have a huge economic impact on society. Pollutants from various sources are responsible for changes in the chemical composition of water, including organic pollutants, inorganic pollutants, and bacteria. Among them, the problem of fluoride pollution in water has attracted global attention. Coagulation-flocculation method, precipitation method, biological method, membrane technology, adsorption method, ion exchange method, and electrocoagulation technology are all commonly used methods for fluoride removal. Electrocoagulation technology has become a current application because of its high efficiency of in-situ flocculation and fluoride removal and stable fluoride removal effect. Prospective technology. This article reviews methods for removing fluoride from water and focuses on the mechanism, advantages, and fluoride removal effects of electrocoagulation fluoride removal technology.
