This paper examines the management of electronic waste (e-waste) in north African countries (NAC), where rapid population and urbanization growth have led to a substantial increase in e-waste. The study reviews current e-waste management practices, including generation quantities, disposal, and reuse/recycling. Two scenarios are presented for e-waste generation up to 2035: low and high. The potential long-term environmental impacts and economic values of e-waste in the NAC region are discussed. Results show that total e-waste generation in 2035 will be approximately 1982 and 3568 thousand scores for the low and high scenarios, respectively. The chapter emphasizes the need for a comprehensive review of existing e-waste management regulations in the NAC region to address potential environmental challenges and optimize economic opportunities associated with e-waste.
