Machine Translation (MT) Literature Review and Empirical Investigation
摘要
The study examines the problem of using several machine translation methods to translate domain-specific papers from Finnish to English. Comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of machine translation in many applications, particularly in the academic field, has not yet been conducted. To address this disparity, an empirical investigation has been conducted focusing on the quality of translated scholarly abstracts. An analysis of machine translation literature was undertaken to ascertain the general patterns and technical advancements within the evolution of this technology. Furthermore, a comprehensive examination of the methodologies used in Spanish–English machine translation and the literature specifically addressing these methodologies was also conducted. The scope of this study is limited to research that specifically address the transfer and output phases of the machine translation process, as outlined in the General Framework for Machine Translation.
