This study examines the impact of ChatGPT on the educational process, focusing on how students use the tool, the benefits they perceive, and its overall influence on their learning. The results show that most students are interested in artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and many use ChatGPT as a helpful resource in their academic work. Students turn to ChatGPT for a variety of reasons, such as finding answers to difficult questions, generating new ideas, solving problems, and supporting scientific research and academic writing. While they express moderate trust in the information provided by ChatGPT, they appreciate its ability to save time and effort when gathering information, preparing assignments, and creating projects. The study also highlights that ChatGPT has had a positive impact on the educational process, particularly by reducing challenges in teaching and sparking further interest in AI technologies. Interestingly, no significant differences were found in how students use or view ChatGPT based on their gender or major. Overall, the findings suggest that ChatGPT is a valuable tool for enhancing learning, providing both practical support and new opportunities for students and educators alike.
