Capstone Project Design for an Undergraduate Cybersecurity Program
摘要
Capstone projects provide integrated learning experience and outcomes for comprehensive technical and non-technical knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs) and professional competencies needed for the educational assessment and workforce development in cybersecurity. This research is a case study for designing a comprehensive portfolio-type project for the capstone course of an undergraduate degree program in Cybersecurity in the United States. The proposed design in the case study incorporates the cyber workforce competencies and knowledge units for the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense designation as well as student outcomes for the ABET computing accreditation commission (CAC) standards for quality assurance of cybersecurity programs. The case study contributes a sample comprehensive capstone project design with key components, objectives, deliverables, and a sample rubric for assessment.
