Primary Courses: Public Speaking, Political Rhetoric/Communication, Argumentation Secondary Courses: Media Literacy, Computer Media Communication, Media, and Culture Time: This activity was originally designed as a full semester assignment, but it could be adapted for a unit on critical thinking, argumentation, skepticism or a single class activity on skepticism and critical thinking or conspiracy theories. It could also be used for any public platforms(s) (not just X). Learning Objectives: Key Terms: Terministic Screens, Skepticism, Social Media, Public Address. Critical thinking is critical doing. Thus, I ask students to perform skepticism using X/Twitter to comment on or “meta-tweet” on other users’ posts. I argue this kind of embodied communication pedagogy helps students better understand how we can perform skepticism in public discourse.
