A Study on Charging Behavior in an Urban Area in Italy
摘要
The analysis of the charging behavior is of fundamental importance for the correct planning of the charging infrastructure, the choice of optimal charging management strategies, and the application of policies aimed at promoting the penetration of electric mobility and the integration of charging demand with the electricity distribution network. To evaluate the charge demand, aggregated or disaggregated analyses can be conducted using different data and information sources. In particular, the present study investigates the charging habits of actual electric vehicles drivers in Italian urban areas through the administration of a revealed preferences (RP) survey and illustrates some of the main outcomes. The results of this survey were used as preliminary input for designing an SP survey aimed at identifying the charging profile of future electric vehicle (EV) users; given the multitude of factors influencing charging profiles, a look at the early adopter category was deemed useful for selecting the factors to consider for a medium-term forecast.
