Measurements of Heavy-flavour Production in pp Collisions with the ALICE Detector
摘要
Heavy quarks (charm and beauty) are produced in early stages of hadronic collisions via hard-parton scatterings. In ALICE, heavy-flavour (HF) particles are measured either in the central barrel ( \(-0.9 < y < 0.9\) ) or in the muon spectrometer ( \(-4 < y < -2.5\) ). The production cross section measurements of leptons from HF-hadron decays in pp collisions performed by ALICE are presented. In addition, prompt meson-over-meson and baryon-over-meson production ratios in pp collisions at \(\sqrt {s} = 5.02\) , 7 and 13 TeV are presented, as well as self-normalized yields of electrons from heavy-flavour hadron decays at \(\sqrt {s} = 13\) TeV. The experimental measurements are compatible with the theoretical model calculations.
