This study seeks to elucidate on the adoption of ICT in higher education and its effectiveness, aiming to provide informative perspectives into how ICT directs the educational landscape by modulating student performance and placement opportunities in higher education institutions along with discerning the challenges and opportunities associated with it. This study employs a quantitative and descriptive research design, adopting a structured questionnaire. The study revealed students’ positive perceptions towards the importance of ICT contribute to its adoption, thereby enhancing student performance, placement, and opportunities. Nevertheless, challenges in ICT adoption can impede student performance. By combining the Technology Acceptance Model and Technology Enhanced Learning Theory, this research has added theoretical depth to the body of existing research.
