This paper aims to present a comprehensive knowledge mapping and in-depth analysis of sustainability and banking, to gain insight into the research trends in the field, between 2010 and 2024. Using 489 research articles from the Scopus database and Vos Viewer, the study presents a visual analysis that includes current research status, the analysis of collaboration network, citation and keyword analysis. The analysis reported an increase in research publications since 2017, in line with the growing emphasis on sustainability. India and China stood at the top of countries on publications of research on the theme. The major emphasis of sustainable development research is focused on innovative financial products and services, green banking and sustainable finance, and on regulatory guidelines for incorporating ESG considerations in sustainable banking.
