This study investigates the knowledge, attitudes, and financial behaviors of Omani undergraduate students to understand the factors influencing financial literacy and money management. Employing a structured questionnaire focusing on various aspects of financial literacy and money management skills, data was collected from undergraduate Omani students through convenience or stratified random sampling methods. Statistical analyses, including t-tests and ANOVA, were carried out to discover the associations between financial knowledge and work experience or demographic characteristics. Financial literacy level and money management score differ greatly between male and female students in results. In addition, different working experience status groups were found to differ significantly in financial literacy scores, but not in management skills scores. These results can be useful for policymakers, teachers and researchers in the financial literacy area for the development of targeted pro-grams and policies to improve student financial literacy. The existence of gender disparities identified in this study indicates the need for gender specific educational interventions and the observation that working experience status has an influence on the use of financial education program hints at the need to include practical exercises in financial education programs.
