With this fetus we can visualize the situation of the middle ear region (Figs. 31.1, 31.2, 31.3, 31.4, 31.5, 31.6, 31.7, 31.8, and 31.9). The dorsal end of Meckel’s cartilage still protrudes into the middle ear region as the malleus. However, the incus and stapes already show clear signs of ossification, so does the malleus, but only its caput and collum (see Fig. 31.7). And the tongue and lower tongue region could be depicted (see Figs. 31.8 and 31.9).

摘要

With this fetus we can visualize the situation of the middle ear region (Figs. 31.1, 31.2, 31.3, 31.4, 31.5, 31.6, 31.7, 31.8, and 31.9). The dorsal end of Meckel’s cartilage still protrudes into the middle ear region as the malleus. However, the incus and stapes already show clear signs of ossification, so does the malleus, but only its caput and collum (see Fig. 31.7). And the tongue and lower tongue region could be depicted (see Figs. 31.8 and 31.9).
