摘要
In this developmental stage, bone has encapsulated the nasopalatine nerve in such a way that the term “canal” is appropriate from now on. The outline of the canal is ovoid in a transversal histological section. The sagittal diameter is about 1 mm and the transversal diameter is about 750 μm. This nasopalatine duct is clearly located in the bony extension of the primary palate. The nasopalatine vessels can be found to run within the incisive canal, lateral of the nasopalatine nerves (Fig. 28.1).
