The following chapter deals with the introduction of Boesch’s symbolic action theory. Several significant concepts of Boesch’s cultural psychology are presented, discussed, and applied to the everyday occurrence of people. Actions, action systems, fantasms, myths, and personal and social needs are introduced and systematically connected with each other in order to pave a way for a transparent systematization of Boesch’s symbolic action theory. Further, concrete appeals are shown how students of cultural psychology might make use of symbolic action Theory for their research projects mediating their efforts to make sense of everyday phenomena in a dynamic fashion.

摘要
