This chapter is concerned with the emerging notion of urban AI and the implications for urban life, focusing on collaboration, partnering, and teaming. As such, a review of the practice and research literature is provided for urban AI in relation to urban life, noting the importance of the ambient. Challenges and opportunities are surfaced from the literature and further probed through an exploratory methodology used in this work while being guided by the conceptual framework for urban life and urban AI formulated in this chapter. An analysis of findings from conference-based polling and other online conference interactions conducted in mid-2024 are also included, featuring real time responses on urban life in an era of AI. This exploration gives rise to a range of insights followed by the identification of limitations and future directions and the highlighting of the significance of this chapter in the concluding comments.
