This chapter presents broadband wireless communication systems with high capacity, high spectral efficiency, and high immunity to EMI on a radio channel. These systems includes Time-Division and Frequency-Division multiplex systems, as well as Multicarrier (MC) systems, such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA). Additionally, the chapters considers Spatial diversity (SD) systems and Spatial Multiplex or Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems. At the end, this chapter overviews spread spectrum systems (DS-SS and FH-SS) and adaptive software-defined radio (SDR) systems in terms of effective EMI channel reduction.
