Palmar fibromatosis, commonly known as Dupuytren disease, is a benign fibroproliferativa disorder characterized by the formation of subcutaneous fibrous nodules within the palmar fascia, leading to flexion contractures of the fingers. Diagnosis can be facilitated throug ultrasound imaging, which confirms the presence of hypoechoic lesions and aids in treatment planning. Minimally invasive techniques, such as ultrasound-guided aponeurotomy (USGA), are emerging as effective alternatives to traditional surgical methods, reducing complications and improving recovery times.
