Frictional Subungual Hematoma of Both Big Toes

Subungual hematoma is the most common injury and cause of nail discoloration, which manifest itself as the accumulation of blood under the nail plate. It originates due to a strong blow or repetitive microtrauma to the distal phalanx, some of the frictional sbungual hematoma are due repetitive mirotrauma as the anatomy of the toes, use of shoes with narrow or steel toes, occupation, sports, recent use of oximeter. Any methods of blood detection can be used, such as urine strip test or fecal occult blood test.
