We report a male with diabetes mellitus and nail affection with onycholysis, chromonychia and paronychia. Dermoscopy showed lateral onycholysis with xantonychia and melanonychia. In mycological study Nakaseomyces glabrata was identified (formlery Candida glabrata). Onycholysis is common in woman and related with a broad spectrum of causes such as psoriasis or drugs. When associated with discoloration suggest the presence of Candida or Trichosporon. Xantonychia and melanonychia, can be observed in other nail diseases, but, when onycholysis is present, Candida is usually involved. Paronychia usually requires a mild-potency topical steroid in management.
