White nails, a common form of nail discoloration, can be classified into three primary types: true leukonychia, apparent leukonychia, and pseudoleukonychia, each with distinct etiologies and clinical presentations. Diagnosis relies on medical assessment, detailed patient history, and physical examination, with onychoscopy aiding differentiation between types. Management focuses on addressing underlying causes and avoiding nail trauma. This comprehensive approach ensures effective treatment and recovery while preventing recurrence. Here, we report the case of a 54-year-old female tailor who presented with transverse white bands involving multiple fingernails.
